WORKS AND SOUNDS GREAT, SUPER SOUND
Will be played for you
One of the most popular vintage Pioneer models, SX-750 offers great warm sound and exceptional build quality.
Unlike newer Cambridge Audio, Rotel, Sony, NAD, etc, all parts for this machine were made in Japan; the Pioneer itself was also assembled in Japan, with no corners cut, mostly metal.
I feel SX-750 to be the highest value vintage Pioneer receiver ever made, as its sound quality is pretty close to that of SX-1250; the main difference is power output.
MSRP: USD $400 = CAD $535 +tax in 1976 = CAD $2230 +tax in 2016, per inflation calculator. This is why they don't make them like this anymore, too expensive to build/small profits.
* Speakers A,B A+B, Off
* Headphones jack
* Tone Defeat
* Pre Out/Main In jacks
* Loudness, High filter
* FM, AM, Aux, Mic, Phono MM, Tape1, Tape2
All inputs except Phono are Line inputs, can be used with anything, iPod, CD player, etc.
* 50 WPC RMS (old school, feels just as powerful as new amps rated at 100 Watts per side)
* 10 - 50,000 kHz
* THD: 0.1% at full power, 0.03% at 1 Watt
* Normal listening level: 1 Watt output
* Speaker load: 4~16 Ohm
* 48 x 15 x 37 cm at 13.7 KG
Basic maintenance service was done, all controls deoxidized/lubed, tuner bearings lubed, bias voltages set to 30 mV L/R, per factory specs. All transistors are original.
I've been collecting vintage stereos for a long time, so trades for old Akai, Marantz, Sony, Denon, Kenwood, Sansui, Sherwood, Philips receiver, amplifier, CD player, speakers in any condition will be considered.
